Two men in their forties are arguing over a woman wearing an orange salwar kameez. Both of them are demanding that the woman be their wife. At one point, a fight breaks out. This scene was seen at Charkhamba intersection in Jessore city on Tuesday afternoon. And so, a crowd of curious people gathered to watch. On receiving the news, the police took the three to the police station. Once there, the tension increased. Several rounds of arguments and fights broke out in the police station premises. To bring the situation under control, the police arrested the three under Section 151 (security custody) and sent them to the court. Later, the judge ordered them to be sent to jail.

These three people are – Bikash Adhikari of Kanaipur area of ​​Faridpur, Palash Kundu, a resident of Faridpur Sadar, and Seema Adhikari of the same area.

Talking to the police, it was learned that Bikash Adhikari is a resident of Kanaipur in Faridpur, with whom Seema Adhikari has been married for about 36 years. In this marriage, they have a son and a daughter. Seema Adhikari recently got involved with Palash Kundu, a resident of Faridpur Sadar. Last Monday night, they came to Jessore and stayed at a hotel. After learning about the matter, Bikash came to that hotel. After that, a three-way tug-of-war ensued, even reaching the police station.

Palash Kundu told reporters that he had been in a three-year relationship with Seema. Both of them got married voluntarily and now want to live together. But Bikash has become a thorn in their path. Seema Adhikari said that she was a regular victim of physical and mental torture in Bikash’s family. Unable to bear the torture, she was forced to leave Bikash and marry Palash.

On the other hand, Bikash Adhikari alleged that their arranged family is falling apart due to Seema’s extramarital affairs. Seema not only left the house, but also took cash and jewelry with her while running away. He wants to bring Seema back home at any cost.

In this regard, Kotwali Police Station OC (Investigation) Kazi Babul told F, “After receiving a call on ‘999’, the police went to the spot and rescued the three of them and brought them to the police station. Despite talking to them for a long time at the police station, no decision could be reached. Later, they were arrested under Section 151 and sent to the court. At the same time, their relatives have been informed.” Police Inspector Roksana Khatun, on duty at the Jessore court, told Fast Bangla, “Senior Judicial Magistrate First Court Judge Shantanu Kumar Mandal has ordered to send them to jail without granting them bail. They have been sent to jail.”
